Raleigh’s First Cidery: Pretty Cool Spot

East Bower Cider Company

2020 Progress Ct Suite 160, Raleigh, NC 27608

East Bower Cider Co. was started by three friends who appreciated the complexity and diversity of ciders. They saw the need for a cidery in Raleigh (since one did not exist). East Bower is located neat East End Market (2 minute drive from Raleigh Iron Works).

The location is very roomy featuring both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of food nearby.

What’s on the menu

The menu starts of with a selection of ciders (of course) which you can try as a flight of 4 (5oz) pours. Additionally they have a selection of beers on draft and even a cider cocktails (which we will try next time).

The flight of ciders did not disappoint and we recommend it as good starting spot.

They offer a variety of ciders with varying levels of sweetness. Roman enjoyed the Mango Sweet Heat. A unique spicy semi-sweet cider with habanero peppers and mango puree. Kayla’s favorite was the Blueberry Squeeze, a semi-dry cider made with blueberries and lemon.

East Bower also offers a weekly pilot series where they test out new flavors in small batches.

Few words about the location

Overall this is a great date spot in a perfect location to hop to and from. With a variety of food and drink options nearby, we definitely recommend visiting Raleigh’s first cidery.
