Whiskey Kitchen: a lot to like

201 W Martin St, Raleigh, NC 27601

We visited Whiskey Kitchen in Raleigh based of a recommendation from another local couple that enjoys good food, drinks, and frequent dates. TL;DR: Let’s just say that this spot did not disappoint.

There is a lot to like about Whiskey Kitchen

Unusual (in a good way) menu featuring a wide variety of option spanning pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan, and meat options. Dishes are interesting and delicious from our experience. So far we have tried Shrimp N’ Grits and Grain Bowl.

We couldn’t help but notice beets being an ingredient in at least 5 dished on the menu. Their smoked beets are really good.

Many drinks options. An extensive whiskey menu, 10 beers on tap, wine selection, and delicious mixed drinks. One in particular that we recommend trying is Beer & Loathing which contain bourbon, cynar, lemon, honey, and an IPA (delicious if you like bourbon and IPAs).

Whiskey kitchen has a lot of seating options to match your vibe:

  • Outdoor seating
  • Bar seating
  • Standard tables

And even a couch section if you feeling extra cozy.

No onsite parking 🅿

There is no onsite parking and you will likely have to walk about 5 minutes from wherever you park. Overall there is usually a lot of street parking (which is free on the weekends) in this part of town.
